Zakat ul Fitr is an obligation on every Muslim and should be paid to another Muslim who is in need. The recipient should receive the zakat before Eid prayers. If received after the prayers, then it only counts as a normal saddaqah and not as a zakat. Each person should pay £5. Please bring your Zakat to the Masjid by Tuesday the 6th of August 2013 so that the money can be sent and reach its recipients in time for Eid in sha Allah.
