Teaching our children about our beautiful faith is a duty upon the whole community. Whilst it is undoubtedly true that a child’s first Madrassa is their home when the time comes for them to receive a more formal Islamic education there’s no place better than the Masjid to go.
There are currently four independent madrassa’s which are based at Masjid Al-Rawdha, with separate curriculum and teaching styles. The madrassa’s cover everything from basic Qur’an reading and tajweed right the way through to fiqh and aqeedah. Each madrassa has their own admissions criteria and manage their own waiting lists. They are open to all children aged five and over but the cut off age varies.
Every effort is made to ensure that all of them provide a healthy, nurturing and supportive environment which introduces your child or ward to the fundamentals of Islam in a fun, dynamic and engaging manner. It also goes without saying that all of them comply with all child protection and health & safety legislation including carrying out enhanced disclosure and barring checks on their teachers and all those who work directly with children and young people.
